The 1981 Corvette holds a unique place in the Corvette history as the only year production was split between two factories—St. Louis, and Bowling Green Green, Kentucky plant. It was the last Corvette to use a carbureted engine, before the 1982 models switched to fuel injection, making it a notable end of an era for Corvette Collectors and enthusiasts.
