1989 Jeep Wrangler YJ

The classic CJ finally retired in 1986 and made way for the new and improved Jeep Wrangler YJ. In an effort to attract more daily drivers, Jeep lowered the suspension and introduced wider leaf springs. The small sacrifice to ground clearance means a smoother ride on the road, paving the way for a greater market of casual drivers. 

This YJ is a manual with an inline 4, a reliable combination that has kept Jeeps on the road well into their long lives. Underneath are Skyjacker Nitro 8000 shock absorbers, the radio is aftermarket as well as the center console.
